A rustic-chic New York coffee shop has another location brewing.
Madman Espresso, co-founded by Marco Vacchi and Michele Civelli in 2012, will open at 646 9th Ave. The café also operates locations in Hudson Yards, the Garment District, Greenwich Village, the West Village, Midtown East and NoMad.
“I’ve been a local on 9th Ave. for over 15 years. I’m very excited to have my little cafe finally there,” Vacchi told Whatnow New York City.
The café is known for its tea, coffee and signature espresso drinks, many of which feature playful names. Standouts include the “Principessa” latte with white chocolate, raspberry and vanilla; the “Madmancino” chai latte with chocolate, cinnamon and espresso; and the “Sarabella” latte with honey, cinnamon and espresso.
Madman Espresso sources its beans from Caffé Vita Coffee Roasting Co., an independent Seattle-based roaster operating since 1995.
To pair with their drinks, guests can enjoy a selection of breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, burritos, pastries, bagels and house-made cream cheese in a variety of flavors.
