Koro Ramen & Sushi is getting ready to bring its signature Japanese comfort food to Revere.
The locally owned restaurant has announced plans to open a second location at 191 Shirley Avenue, Unit 2, according to its Google Business profile and a recent social media teaser.
“new spot in revere loading…” the post reads. “koro is coming soon and we’re bringing the ramen, sushi, and all the good stuff with us!!! follow along and stay tuned for the opening date 👀 xoxo, koro”
According to the restaurant’s Google Business listing, the Revere location will feature the same menu as Koro’s original East Boston restaurant, serving authentic Japanese ramen, fresh sushi, poke bowls, bao buns, gyoza, wings, and other made-to-order favorites. Guests will be able to dine in, order takeout, or have their meals delivered.
“Whether you’re craving a rich bowl of Tonkotsu ramen, handcrafted sushi rolls, or a quick lunch, Koro is your neighborhood destination for Japanese comfort food,” the business states in its online description.
Founded by Raffaele Scalzi, president of Scalzi Hospitality (Pazza on Porter, Next Door Speakeasy & Raw Bar), Koro Ramen & Sushi first opened in Jeffries Point in April 2025. Scalzi, who boasts more than 15 years of restaurant industry experience and over eight years in event planning, partnered with longtime sushi chef Harold to create a menu that balances authentic Japanese flavors with approachable, crowd-pleasing dishes.
