Dollar Tree is continuing its expansion across San Antonio, with plans for a new ground-up retail store at 2408 W. Loop 1604 S., filings from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) show. The relatively new project was just submitted to the state last week, and outlines that work will start in the next few months.
According to filings, the development calls for an 11,991-square-foot commercial building that will be constructed for use as a Dollar Tree retail store. The project carries an estimated construction cost of $2,310,720 and is scheduled to begin construction in October, with completion targeted for around December 15.
The TDLR filing lists San Antonio Land Fund I, LLC as the property owner, while M Architecture Group, based in Northville, Michigan, is serving as the design firm for the project.
Its opening will expand the brand’s presence on San Antonio’s Far West Side, providing area residents with another location offering the retailer’s assortment of value-priced household essentials, seasonal décor, party supplies, cleaning products, snacks, health and beauty items, and other everyday merchandise. The neighborhood has two other Dollar Trees, the company website shows.
The company has not yet shared additional details, and What Now’s inquiry to Dollar Tree representatives was not answered before publication.
