Burlington is expanding its footprint in South Texas, with a new store planned for The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo, giving shoppers another local destination for nationally recognized brands at off-price values. The shopping center has officially listed the business on its website, saying it will open this year at 1600 Water Street, Suite B320.
It will occupy a second-level space near Coach. A press release from Burlington states that the brand is beginning hiring efforts for the location, and those interested in employment opportunities can apply online for a variety of positions through the company’s careers website.
According to the press release, this will be the 156th Burlington store in Texas. It will feature the brand’s reimagined store design, which includes wider, more organized aisles, updated layouts, and bold signage to make the store easier to navigate. The company plans to debut more than 100 stores with this model in 2026, as well as convert existing locations.
Originally known primarily for coats and outerwear, Burlington has evolved into a full-line off-price retailer offering apparel, beauty products, home décor, footwear, accessories, baby items, pet products, toys, and seasonal merchandise. New merchandise arrives daily, giving shoppers new finds every time they visit.
The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo is a 358,000-square-foot, multi-level mall featuring more than 50 name-brand stores and regional dining spaces. Other notable retailers include Adidas Outlet, Nike Clearance Store, Levi’s Outlet Store, GAP Factory Store, Steve Madden Outlet, Sunglass Hut, Five Below, Cinnabon, and Dark Rock Coffee.
