An award-winning pet grooming salon on the North Shore is gearing up for an expansion.

Danvers-based The Royal Four Legged Spa has announced plans to open a second location at 11 Main Street in North Andover. While an official grand opening date has not yet been released, founder Katherine Roldan hopes to begin welcoming clients to the new space in September 2026, according to the salon’s website.

“This is a huge milestone for us, and we can’t wait to continue serving our amazing clients while welcoming new families to our Royal family,” the team shared in a social media update. “Thank you for your continued trust and support—we couldn’t do this without you!”

The Royal Four Legged Spa has built a reputation for high-quality, personalized grooming. Roldan has worked with dogs since 2011 and has been grooming professionally since 2013, earning recognition in the competitive grooming world.

In 2024, Roldan finished among the nation’s top 10 groomers, securing a coveted spot on Groom Team USA after years of accolades that include a Best in Show title at the Maryland Grooming Competition and appearances at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and the AKC National Dog Show.

As an AKC S.A.F.E. Salon, The Royal Four Legged Spa specializes in breed-specific styling, hand stripping, hand scissoring, and customized grooming plans, all while emphasizing a low-stress, positive experience for every pet.

“Here at The Royal Four Legged Spa, we strive to treat every pet like one of our own,” states the site. “We want them to leave our shop with heads held high like the royalty they are.”

As operations shift to two locations, the original Danvers shop will transition into a more boutique-style grooming space designed to provide a quieter, more individualized experience. The flagship salon will operate with adjusted hours, while evening and weekend appointments will be offered exclusively at the new North Andover location.
