Houston-area Mediterranean restaurant known for its halal menu and loyal following plans to be expand to the Dallas-Fort Worth market for the first time. According to public filings, Gyro Republic plans to open at 2771 E. Broad St., Suite 225, in Mansfield, with construction set to begin in October 2026 and a completion date targeted for February 2027.
Gyro Republic’s concept centers on halal Mediterranean food: gyros, shawarma, falafel, hummus, and freshly prepared platters served in a fast-casual setting. The halal certification allows the brand to be accessible to a broad Muslim customer base, while the menu’s Mediterranean flavors have built appeal well beyond that community across its Houston locations.
What Now Dallas reached out to Ayman, the franchisee behind the Mansfield location, to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive a response prior to publication.
The location would mark the brand’s first venture outside of the Houston area, where it currently operates seven locations.
Mansfield’s E. Broad Street corridor is one of the city’s busiest commercial stretches, drawing traffic from across Tarrant County. The city’s diverse and rapidly growing population, which has more than doubled over the past two decades, makes it a compelling market for a brand built on inclusive, community-oriented dining.
