The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is continuing to expand its reach across the Greater Houston region. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s newest Harris County location is expected to open in Tomball within The Grand at 249 at 25545 STATE HIGHWAY 249, SUITE 140.

The permit further details that construction on the new Mediterranean eatery is already underway and is slated to wrap up by November this year. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $450,000 construction project, the 2,000-square-foot The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill should be completed and open before the end of the year.

Jagpreet Singh Kamboj is at the helm of the opening and was listed on the permit. What Now Houston reached out to Kamboj to find out more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

What Now briefly spoke with The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill owner, Nick Della Pena, who confirmed the opening but shared that United Franchise Group is in charge of franchising. What Now also reached out to the group to find out more about the opening. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“I believe this will be our hundredth location. So, we’re planning a pretty big grand opening,” Pena said.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was founded in Henderson in 2011 by a Greek/Armenian family serving traditional family recipes. In 2016, restaurant industry veterans Penna and Trent Jones purchased the booming location, subsequently franchising it with United Franchise Group to expand nationwide.

There are now at least 85 locations of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill open in 17 states, with more than 300 additional locations planned or in development.

“Like the entire menu at The Great Greek, where the original, classic flavors of the Mediterranean are created daily from classic family recipes with fresh, authentic ingredients,” The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill website reads.

“Whether it’s a savory skewer from the grill, a crisp, refreshing salad or wrap, a palate-pleasing appetizer, a tender gyro, dessert or more, The Great Greek is a contemporary take on timeless cuisine.”

Try it all out for yourself when The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill opens in Tomball within The Grand at 249 at 25545 STATE HIGHWAY 249, SUITE 140 later this year.
