There’s an exciting new development for Madison foodies who have been anticipating the arrival of The Pig & Pint. Work has officially begun on The Gallery, the mixed-use development that will be welcoming the barbecue restaurant.

The Pig & Pint is set to become the “flagship restaurant” of the sprawling 58-acre project. According to the Bellamare Development website, the eatery will be occupying a 10,300 square foot building on Galleria Parkway.

Madison locals have been eagerly awaiting word on The Gallery’s progress and finally received an update on August 30, when the project’s official Facebook page posted an update showing that work has begun-though it is still in early stages. Dirt has been moved and machinery is on site to continue the necessary work.

While this does not provide a definitive opening timeline for The Pig & Pint, it does show that progress is occurring on the concept’s second location. Additionally, The Gallery stated in a comment on the post that leadership anticipates that phase one will be completed and ready to welcome guests by late 2027.

The Pig and Pint has already made an impact in the Fondren District. Its website offers Madison diners this glimpse of what’s to come: “Come for the Pig. Come for the Pint. Come prepared for BBQ dining like you have never experienced. Whether it is BBQ Chicken Tacos with Mango Jicama Slaw or Pork Belly Corn Dogs, we expect you to find something fantastic and new that takes your BBQ experience to the next level.”
