Book Passage Expands To New Home Within The Ferry Building Marketplace

Book Passage, the independent bookstore and Bay Area cultural institution, has relocated to a larger space within the Ferry Building Marketplace in Suite 37A.

This move marks a new chapter for the storied bookseller. The expanded footprint will allow for greater flexibility to host author events, expand programming, and cultivate the community gatherings Book Passage has long been celebrated for. The new location boasts two diverse upcoming events certain to draw large crowds.

This relocation reflects the Ferry Building’s ongoing commitment to investing in its tenants and evolving the marketplace to serve the San Francisco community better.

This relocation enables Book Passage to expand its footprint and enrich its offerings, creating more room for author readings, literary events, and community gatherings. The new store anchors an entrance to the building, located down by iconic views of the Bay Bridge.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be entering this new chapter for Book Passage. Our new space will give us even more room to bring book lovers together,” said Elaine Petrocelli, Co-founder and President of Book Passage in a statement. “We’re grateful for the Ferry Building, the diverse community  of which we are a part and of course our customers for their continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone into our new home in this historic building!
