A Southern comfort favorite, beloved by all ages, is continuing to take Memphis by storm. Jack’s Family Restaurant has submitted paperwork to construct a new location at the Hickory Commons Shopping Center, deepening its already significant presence in the area.
The popular eatery is targeting 6484 Winchester Road for its next Memphis home. Jack’s Family Restaurant has submitted a final plat review to the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development which remains under review as of August 18.
The application does not provide a great deal of detail about Jack’s intended future location; indeed, the project description is quite straightforward, described as: “Construction of Jack’s Family Restaurant on the newly subdivided outparcel of the Hickory Commons Shopping Center.”
Founded in 1960, Jack’s Family Restaurant has become a Southern staple, with more than 300 locations open and serving satisfied customers. The website offers a hint at why it’s enjoyed such longevity, saying: “Jack’s serves up bold Southern flavor with hand-breaded chicken, juicy, crave-worthy burgers and the official biscuit of the South that’s made fresh every morning. From breakfast to late-night, every bite is crafted for comfort, quality, and can’t-miss taste.”
