Proving that you can never count a truly great restaurant out, a Memphis-area institution is preparing for its triumphant comeback. Bartlett favorite Chef Flavas is rising like a phoenix following a fire that caused considerable damage, and area foodies will be able to enjoy its fare again before the year is out.

Work is well underway at Chef Flavas 6301 Stage Road storefront, and ownership has been keeping social media updated on the progress. A September 4 Facebook post walks visitors through the interior of the building, showing that drywall has been installed as well as a new ac unit.

Ownership was kind enough to fill What Now Memphis in on Chef Flavas projected re-opening timeline, saying: “The interior of the building should be complete October 31st we’re hoping to get open by mid-November.”

Make sure to follow Chef Flavas on its Facebook page for opening updates, pop-up dates, and even giveaways.

Chef Flavas has earned a dedicated following thanks to its “unique blend of soul and style” and its elevated approach to Southern comfort favorites. The menu includes delicious traditional dishes like catfish and grits and biscuits and gravy alongside decadent alfredo dishes and some unexpected options like stuffed eggrolls.

Bartlett residents hoping to make the wait a little more palatable can stop into Walmart or Kroger to grab some of Chef Flavas signature dips, including “the most versatile spinach artichoke dip on the market.”
