Known for its scratch-made savory and sweet treats, the Dycore Mobile Luxe food truck Is preparing to establish a brick-and mortar location in New Orleans East at 13370 Chef Menteur Hwy.

Co-owner Cassandra Charlot, who relocated to the area from Miami three years ago, recognized a distinct lack of convenient food options in the area and stepped up to fill the void.

“Where I’m located over here in the East, there’s not much options for to-go to and carryout,” she told What Now New Orleans. “Everything will be fresh-made, handmade by myself. We’ll have breakfast, we’ll have lunch, and we’ll have dinner.”

Charlot emphasized that the spot will mostly be grab-and-go, offering a rotating lineup of fresh parfaits, signature salads, house-made lemonade, and hot entrees prepared off-site in a commercial kitchen and optimized for quick service. That being said, the Dycore Mobile Luxe cafe will also accommodate people looking to linger briefly. The layout features a few seating options, perfect for local workers and residents seeking a quick bite or a quiet break during the workday.

“If you come in and you want to grab a sandwich and a coffee and you want to sit for about 20 to 30 minutes, that’s perfectly fine,” Charlot noted. To welcome neighbors and build foot traffic, the cafe plans to offer complimentary coffee daily from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Beyond food service, the brick-and-mortar venue will also serve as an extension for Charlot’s non-profit organization, the Decor Legacy Foundation. The grab-and-go model will allow kids to gain hands-on business experience, as it won’t have any age-restricted equipment found in commercial kitchens.

“It’ll be able to allow me to help the kids in the community figure out entrepreneurship because they can’t be around an oven or a hot stove,” Charlot explained.

Final space build-outs and equipment installations are currently underway, with Charlot aiming for a mid-to-late fall opening ahead of the holiday season.
