The Stand, a California-based fast-casual restaurant serving American classics with modern flavors and techniques, is getting ready to open in Temecula at 26440 Ynez Rd.

The company recently submitted a liquor license application for the location that will replace either Chipotle or Corner Bakery Cafe near Promenade Temecula and Palm Plaza, although the specific former tenant has not been confirmed. No exact opening date has been announced, but the Temecula location is listed as coming soon, with an opening likely toward the end of the year.

The Stand currently has locations throughout California, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire, and the Bay Area, as well as locations in Texas. Its California locations include Carmel Mountain Ranch and Santee in San Diego, while Mission Valley is listed as coming in Fall 2026 and Encinitas is listed as coming soon. Temecula will add another Inland Empire location to the company’s growing California footprint.

The restaurant describes its concept as a reworking of American classics, emphasizing quality, speed, and value. The company says it works with local suppliers for ingredients, including fresh, daily-baked bread, proprietary ground beef, and locally sourced produce. The menu offers a range of options while using modern flavors and techniques.

Among the menu items at The Stand is the Chinese Chicken Wrap, made with sliced grilled chicken breast, crispy wontons, crispy noodles, mandarins, sesame seeds, and a house-made chop salad mix with red ginger dressing. The Jerk Chicken Bowl combines marinated grilled chicken, coconut jerk sauce, fried plantains, braised red cabbage with black beans, green onions, and the restaurant’s Stand rice blend.

The California locations also offer a burger featuring a beef patty, double cheddar cheese, apple julienne, grilled onions, bacon tomato jam, and spicy honey mustard on a pretzel bun. For something sweet, the Strawberry Birthday Shake combines birthday cake-flavored vanilla soft serve or ice cream, malted milk, house-made strawberry purée, and rainbow sprinkles.
