Hell’s Kitchen to Welcome New Greek Restaurant This October

The Gyro Project is opening its new restaurant in New York. It will bring the brand’s Greek offerings to a new neighborhood. It will be the brand’s 10th overall location, continuing its expansion in New York City.

The Gyro Project is opening its new location on October 15. The new restaurant will be located at 600 9th Avenue in New York City. It follows the brand’s June opening on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and is its 10th location overall.

The new restaurant will be about 1,200 square feet and have 14 indoor seats. It will offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery, serving lunch and dinner. It is opening in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen and marks the brand’s continued expansion in New York City.

“We’re thrilled to reach this milestone with the opening of our 10th location at 600 9th Avenue,” said George Tenedios, co-owner of The Gyro Project. “Hell’s Kitchen is such an energetic and diverse neighborhood, and we’re excited to bring our authentic Greek flavors and fast-fine approach to the community.”

The Gyro Project was founded by childhood friends George Tenedios and Spiro Kokkosis. The brand focuses on Greek street food, including pita wraps, mixed grill platters, mezedes, specialty fries, and Greek froyo.

With this new opening, The Gyro Project will have seven locations in New York City and three in New Jersey. The company also plans to open additional locations in Union Square and Times Square by winter 2026.

Menu Highlights

The Gyro Project’s new Hell’s Kitchen location will serve the brand’s popular menu items. The menu includes chicken, pork, and lamb-and-beef gyro pita wraps, platters with rice, salad and pita, tzatziki, hummus, Greek fries, and Greek frozen yogurt.

It will also be the first The Gyro Project location in New York City to offer Dubai Chocolate Froyo. The restaurant will open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.
