Asado Life is bringing its live-fire cooking to Nocatee, adding a third Northeast Florida location to its growing restaurant lineup.
The Argentinian-inspired restaurant has signed a lease for the former Dick’s Wings space at 100 Marketside Avenue, Suite 301, in Nocatee Town Center. The 3,415-square-foot space sits near the intersection of Nocatee Parkway and Crosstown Parkway. The Nocatee developer announced the restaurant’s arrival in August, and Regency Centers now lists Asado Life as the tenant for the space.
The Nocatee restaurant will join Asado Life’s existing locations in St. Augustine and Downtown Jacksonville. The brand’s St. Augustine restaurant is located at 173 Asado Way, while its Jacksonville location recently opened at 5 Tower Court in the Jacksonville Shipyards.
Asado Life centers its menu around live-fire cooking and Argentinian-inspired techniques, with meats, seafood, vegetables and other dishes prepared over flame. The restaurant’s current Jacksonville menu includes chef’s cuts, chorizo, grilled chicken, fresh seafood, burgers, sandwiches and vegetable dishes.
The concept grew from Urban Asado, a live-fire grill business that Nick and Christie Carrera started out of their garage in 2014. Their first Asado Life restaurant opened in St. Augustine in 2022.
The brand has continued expanding this year. Its Downtown Jacksonville restaurant opened at the Shipyards in August, bringing the concept to a waterfront setting near EverBank Stadium and the Riverwalk. The restaurant features indoor and patio seating overlooking the St. Johns River.
Asado Life’s website describes its approach as being centered on the social tradition of an asado, where food is cooked over fire and shared around the table. Its menu also features house-made breads, sauces and other scratch-made components.
An opening date for the Nocatee location has not yet been announced.
