An iconic and authentic Mexican restaurant, Azul Mexican Food & Tequila Bar, announced its permanent closure. The restaurant has served the Sacramento community for nearly two decades.
Azul Mexican Food & Tequila Bar Says Goodbye
After serving the community for 19 years, the restaurant team shared the closure announcement on social media. According to the post, Azul Mexican Food & Tequila Bar at 1050 20th Street will close September 26.
The restaurant combines authentic Mexican flavors with a contemporary twist and offers a chic and urban dining experience to the Midtown Sacramento region. Azul’s menu features Mexican dishes based on traditional recipes. The concept focuses on classic homemade recipes and modern design.
They wrote, “We’ve had the privilege of welcoming you, celebrating special moments with you, sharing our food and traditions, and creating memories that we will carry with us.”
The team thanked its customers and community members and said, “Thank you to everyone who has followed us on this amazing journey. We are grateful for these 19 years and God’s blessings.”
Customer Reactions to the Closure
The sudden restaurant closure announcement drew a lot of attention from its customers. One longtime customer said, “We’re so sorry to hear this. That must have been a really difficult decision to make. Azul’s been such an anchor spot for so many years; you all are really going to be missed.”
