Fort Collins is getting a new place to work out, with barre3 preparing to open a studio in the growing Old Town North area.
The fitness brand is planned for 944 Jerome Street, where a city permit application identifies barre3 as the first tenant in the retail building.
Plans call for a reception and community area, exercise space, lounge, laundry and utility areas, and storage. The permit does not call for exterior work.
barre3’s website currently lists Fort Collins among its upcoming studio locations, while the company says the new studio is under construction. In the meantime, the Fort Collins team has been hosting pop-up Signature 45 classes at locations including New Belgium Brewing, Odell Brewing and Cherry on Top Bookshop.
The new studio will offer barre3’s signature approach to fitness, which combines strength, cardio and mindfulness in a full-body workout. The company describes its Signature workout as a low-impact format that incorporates barre movements, strength work, cardio and mindful movement.
Beyond its Signature classes, barre3 offers a range of formats focused on strength, cardio and mindful movement. The company currently has more than 200 studio locations, along with an online library of workouts for members who prefer to exercise at home.
The Fort Collins studio will also offer amenities listed by barre3 for the location, including childcare, parking, sweat towels, filtered water and a retail shop, according to the company’s website.
An opening date for barre3 Fort Collins has not yet been announced, although the company currently lists the studio as coming soon and says construction is underway.
