A new dining destination celebrating regional culture is coming to a Lafayette location with a long culinary history. The upcoming launch of Thibodeaux’s at 505 W Pont des Mouton Rd. will center around Louisiana staples, featuring a menu packed with local seafood, steaks, oysters, po’boys, and boiled crawfish and shrimp. Designed to operate as a lively community hub within Lafayette’s Couret Farms development, the restaurant will also feature a large bar and live music. An opening date is set for late October, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

The venture is spearheaded by local founders Barry Burrows and Brandy Thibodeaux Burrows are bringing their strong ties to regional culture and hospitality to the space. Their new concept takes over a prominent building with a long history as a local dining hub, most recently housing The Original Patti — which closed abruptly in August 2026 — and previously serving as the long-running Italian favorite Romacelli.
