A popular South Memphis clothing store is getting a new and bigger home. Village Mart on Bellevue has shared its plan to relocate to a larger storefront with fans on social media, and customers can rejoice-work is already underway.

Though Village Mart has not yet publicly announced the precise location of its upcoming larger home, a posted video shows that the move will not be a drastic one-the camera pans from the concept’s current home at 1169 S. Bellevue Boulevard to the storefront that will become its new space, and it is conveniently located just across the street.

The October 9th post states that it is footage of the first day dedicated to remodeling the building. There is clearly plenty to be done to turn the space into Village Mart on Bellevue, however the team is hard at work on the transformation.

Village Mart drummed up enthusiasm among followers, saying: “We’re getting ready to move into a BIGGER STORE with MORE SPACE, MORE STYLE, AND MORE TO LOVE! This is more than a move… IT’S OUR BIGGEST MOVE YET!Same neighborhood. A BIGGER experience!”

Founded in 1987, Village Mart has spread to 15 locations, propelled by a simple but admirable ethos: “Decades later, our mission remains the same: to bring together style, comfort, and value under one roof — for everyone.”
