A new Quick Quack Car Wash may replace a longtime religious property in Denver’s Belcaro neighborhood, with preliminary plans revealed in Denver development records. The project is proposed for 999 S. Colorado Blvd., near the intersection of East Tennessee Avenue and South Harrison Street, a site that currently houses the House of Worship United Pentecostal Church.
Plans outline an automatic express tunnel car wash and 23 self-service vacuum stations on a 1.07-acre parcel, with one new 3,588-square-foot structure and 26 parking spaces. Russ Nelson of Lone Star Builders Inc. is listed as the applicant.’ The concept-plan record currently shows a status of “Resubmittal Required”.
According to Developing Denver, the existing church building was constructed in 1953. Last year, a certificate of demolition eligibility was issued, allowing the property to proceed through the demo process.
Quick Quack Car Wash operates more than 365 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Washington. The company’s page lists 12 outposts in the state, including sites in Colorado Springs, Fountain, and Monument. Parker North and Pueblo Mall locations are also coming soon.
