Burgers and fries have always been a popular option for college students.
Blazin’ Burgerz is expanding in Southeast Michigan with a new concept called Blazin’ Smash Haus coming to 3354 Washtenaw Avenue N in Ann Arbor. This is the second location from Farook Issa, and he plans on serving some of the same smash burgers with new additions. Right now, he is anticipating a February 2027 grand opening.
“100% halal certified meats, always fresh, never frozen,” says a recent post from Issa.
The first Blazin’ location debuted in January 2021 at 2593 Ellsworth Road in Ypsilanti. He opened the concept with his friend Khaled Naser to bring a new smashburger option for locals and EMU students.
At their current spot, signatures include The OG Burger with pickles, anions and American cheese, as well as the bacon egg and cheese burger. Issa said there will be new additions at the Ann Arbor business like a mozzarella burger and jalapeno smash burgers. The options are going to be smaller.
The team is opening their new location on the south side of Washtenaw Avenue next to Chipotle. A Chick-fil-A is also at this stretch, and this is near the S Huron Parkway intersection. This is a short drive southeast of downtown Ann Arbor.
