Sushi is on a roll.

Bondi Sushi is preparing to open its latest location on the Upper East Side at 1145 3rd Ave., near E. 82nd St., according to New Openings NYC.

The sushi bar operates locations in Florida and New York, with its New York footprint spanning Bryant Park, NoMad, NoLita, the Upper West Side, another on the Upper East Side and an express outpost in Tribeca.

Founded by restaurateurs Aiden Carty and David Hess, Bondi Sushi pairs high-quality sushi with an approachable, energetic dining atmosphere.

The restaurant serves specialty sushi rolls, hand rolls, crispy rice, nigiri and sashimi, along with a 12-piece omakase tasting menu. Guests seated at the sushi bar can watch chefs prepare each dish, offering a front-row look at the craft behind the menu.

Beyond sushi, Bondi Sushi offers heartier entrees, including binchotan-grilled lamb cutlets with a soy-ginger glaze and gochu, miso black cod with den miso and hajikami, and wagyu served on Japanese milk bread.

The beverage menu rounds out the experience with a selection of sake, beer and wine.

An official opening date has not yet been announced; however, signage captured outside of the upcoming spot read “Coming soon.”

Once open, the restaurant will likely follow the hours of its other New York locations, operating from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Visit the Bondi Sushi website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
