It looks like a local Thai restaurant is expanding with two new Greater Boston locations.

Klin Thai is preparing to open one restaurant at 645 Mount Auburn Street in Watertown and another at an undisclosed address in Burlington, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. Owner Patcharin Jeesom of PPT Hospitality has not yet responded to What Now Boston’s requests for comment, leaving details about the upcoming locations limited for now. Both restaurants are listed as “coming soon” on the eatery’s website.

The expansion follows the restaurant’s debut in West Roxbury last fall. Klin Thai had also announced plans to open a Haverhill location shortly afterward, though it appears that location hasn’t come to fruition. Members of the Merrimack Valley Eats Facebook group have reported that the restaurant did not open, and its Google Business listing currently shows it as temporarily closed.

At its West Roxbury restaurant, Klin Thai serves a wide-ranging menu of Thai favorites and other Asian-inspired dishes. Options include chicken gyoza, vegetable spring rolls, crab rangoons, tofu soup, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and an assortment of curries, as well as ramen, sushi, and Thai-inspired desserts.

Klin Thai’s name translates to “Thai Scents,” a nod to the aromas and flavors at the heart of the restaurant’s cooking. “Rooted in traditional Thai family, we preserve the art of authentic home-style cooking,” reads the eatery’s website. “Every dish is made with love, balancing rich aromas and vibrant flavors that define Thailand’s culture. Through Klin Thai, we bring a piece of our homeland to your table.”

While details about the Burlington project remain under wraps, recently filed city permits offer a closer look at what’s planned for Watertown. The proposed restaurant would occupy approximately 3,250 square feet, with seating for 119 guests and a total occupant load of 132. Its listed hours of operation are 8 a.m. to midnight daily.

Opening timelines for the new locations have not yet been announced. What Now Boston will share more details as they become available.
