TQM Hospitality, the local restaurant group behind Buena Vida in Old Fourth Ward and Chicheria at The Works, is transforming both concepts into Amasa Mexican Kitchen, according to recent social media announcements.

Amasa Mexican Kitchen opened earlier this year in Alpharetta, offering a seafood-focused, gluten-free menu with an emphasis on blue corn tortillas.

Buena Vida has been operating for seven years along the Beltline but will transition to Amasa in January. Chicheria, which initially opened in 2023, will transform into Amasa later this month.

“Get ready for the coastal flavors of Baja California: organic, non-GMO blue corn tortillas hand-pressed every day, a seafood-forward menu, an agave experience and a 100% gluten-free kitchen,” the social media announcement stated.
