An American bistro is in the works for Greenwich Village.
The yet-to-be-named concept is planned for 167 Bleecker St., between Thompson and Sullivan streets, according to business filings with Manhattan Community Board 2.
The concept aims to capture “the character of the neighborhood” while serving approachable comfort food classics.
The working menu features shareable plates, salads and sides, alongside heartier entrees such as rigatoni pomodoro with tomato sauce, fresh basil and Parmesan; grilled bistro sirloin served with roasted fingerling potatoes, green beans and herb butter; and pan-roasted cod accompanied by white bean ragout, greens and lemon.
The space will also incorporate comedy, with scheduled performances planned at the venue.
The team is currently working through the permitting and licensing process.
Stay tuned!
