Downtown hotel Twelve Centennial Park has plans to overhaul its lobby, according to permits filed this week with the City of Atlanta.

The Marriott-owned property plans to add new flooring, cabinetry, paint and furniture in the public lobby area to the tune of $85,000.

Twelve Hotels & Residences, which has two Atlanta locations, announced renovation plans in June.

The Atlantic Station location has undergone recent changes, transforming its restaurant LOBBY at Twelve to the Italian-focused concept Allora.

The new renovations are part of the local hotels’ transition under new ownership to the Autograph Collection by Marriott properties.

Twelve Hotels were sold to new ownership in 2016 and management has been taken over by Marriott since then.

Renovations to Twelve Centennial Park’s guestrooms are already underway.

More to come as this story develops.
