The Mercury is ceasing operation in Ponce City Market (PCM), according to Eater Atlanta.
The cocktail lounge and restaurant’s last day is set for Friday, May 31.
The Mercury has been open a little over three years.
Its first day in business was January 12, 2016.
Parent Company 10 Apart Hospitality Group in October 2018 filed bankruptcy for both The Mercury and its original concept Pinewood in Decatur.
Pinewood is still open for business.
10 Apart partner Brooks Cloud cited a legal battle with PCM developer Jamestown as the reason behind closing down The Mercury.
“Ultimately, they decided not to allow us to continue there [at Ponce City Market],” Cloud told Eater Atlanta.
“We had the money to pay them and were profitable but, couldn’t continue to fight a multi-million dollar corporation. We’re just small business owners trying to survive.”
10 Apart in April shuttered its nearby Deep End concept after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.
Almost a year prior in April 2018 the company closed its Buckhead Italian restaurant Bar Americano and Bar Crema.
