The much anticipated Las Vegas outpost of “high-energy fine dining” restaurant Toca Madera will open in The Shops at Crystals, the US’s only all-luxury shopping destination. Paperwork submitted recently to Clark County estimates a fittingly massive construction budget of $6 million.
The chain, founded by Tosh Berman in partnership with Mikey Tanha (with whom Berman also formed hospitality group Noble 33), has been moving toward expansion ever since it first branched out from the original Los Angeles location, opening an extremely successful second location in Scottsdale, AZ.
The move to Vegas was announced last year, although a location was not specified at that time. Like those two locations, the Las Vegas Toca Madera promises an energetic, exciting fine dining atmosphere, with a high-quality sound system, live music, dancers, and even fire-breathers.
The West Hollywood location boasts a luxurious dinner menu, with raw-bar offerings like Ceviche Blanco (wild Chilean sea bass, lime, jalapeño, roma tomato, cilantro, red onion, avocado, served w/ house-made plantain chips) and Especiales like the indulgent Toca Tomahawk (40oz chipotle charcoal rubbed SRF american wagyu served w/ artisanal salts, garlic toreados & truffle butter). Entrees include Chicken al Pastor with cilantro lime rice, sauteed spinach & kale, and achiote beurre monté, and Scallops Amarillo, with Ahi Amarillo Salsa, chimichurri, and lime-roasted pepitas.
Both locations also offer brunch, with the Scottsdale location bringing to the table scrumptious offerings like Breakfast Enchiladas (Suiza-style chef’s enchiladas w/ short rib barbacoa, queso oaxaca, soft corn tortillas, topped w/ fried egg, served w/ black beans & papas bravas) and Camarones y Semola (5 spicy jumbo shrimp sautéed w/ garlic & thyme, served w/ roasted tomato & chili cheddar grits).
Toca Madera is expected to open at the Shops at Crystals this spring.
