Chunara Food Group has plans to build a freestanding Dunkin’ / Baskin-Robbins in the under-construction Westside Village at Moores Mill mixed-use.
Chunara is currently in permitting with the City of Atlanta to develop the 2,100-square-foot Dunkin’ / Baskin-Robbins, at 2230 Marietta Blvd NW.
The standalone structure will be Westside Village’s Building D which is expected to cost north of $500,000 to construct.
It’s unclear if that figure also includes the restaurant’s interior.
Chunara, as with most of its restaurants, owns the land in Westside Village where the new Dunkin’ / Baskin-Robbins will be situated.
The company closed on the real estate earlier this year.
Ali Chunara, owner and founder of Chunara Food Group, confirmed the plans in a telephone interview with What Now Atlanta (WNA) Monday.
Chunara operates more than 71 quick-service franchises across six brands: Checkers, Church’s Chicken, Dunkin’ / Baskin-Robbins, Popeyes Chicken, and TGIF.
Eden Rock’s Westside Village has started welcoming its first wave of tenants and more are expected to open later this summer.
This is very disappointing. The Dunkin brand is great for a lot of places, but we had hoped for more local or non-chain restaurants with more a craft focus. Dunkin is also not a healthy brand. Very sad.
Are you blind? There’s Henri 40 yards away for your craft focused non chain craving. For the other 90% of the world who want great coffee at a sane price fast in the AM we’re thrilled to have a Dunkin’.
