Chef Pat Pascarella and The Porchetta Group have announced plans to open a second location of their Neapolitan concept by the end of 2022. Grana is headed to the Perimeter at 1210 Ashford Crossing, Pascarella confirmed over a text message with What Now Atlanta, where the eatery will take over the space that last housed a location of Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
Grana’s authentic southern Italian cuisine takes the form of from-scratch wood-fired pies, handmade pastas, and traditional Italian specialties. Described as “robust ‘peasant cooking,’ ” Grana’s offerings have gained a following in the Atlanta area since the concept debuted in Piedmont Heights. And despite opening its doors for the first time at the pandemic’s onset back in March 2020, Grana has clearly experienced the kind of success that leads to growth.
You can find bites like Pizza Alessandro, a white pie with pistachio pesto, ricotta, and wildflower honey, and Crispy Pork Belly served over polenta with a pepper glaze and picked herbs. Grana serves brunch as well, on weekends from 11:30AM to 3PM. Have you seen their porchetta sandwich?
The Porchetta Group, founded by Pascarella and Brian Ferris, is behind other Atlanta gems like The White Bull, Bastone, and a soon-to-debut seafood concept inspired by the Almafi Coast, Alici.
Keep an eye on Grana’s social media for updates on the Dundywood spot.
