Flagship location to close in March 2016 ahead of April History Center opening.
Owner Jennifer Levison plans to move the flagship location of her cafe, Souper Jenny, from 56 East Andrews Drive NW in Buckhead to the nearby Atlanta History Center, according to a joint release from the center and the eatery.
“This is the perfect fit for the culture of Souper Jenny,” Levison said in the statement.
“We have had a fantastic sixteen year history of our own in our tiny Buckhead store, but I’m beyond over the moon about this new relationship and I believe, for us, it’s the next step in my vision of creating a stronger community here in Atlanta.”
Levison has three additional Souper Jenny locations in Brookhaven, Decatur, and Westside. She also owns two other cafe concepts in the Atlanta area, Cafe Jonah and Juicy Jenny.
The flagship location of Souper Jenny will close its doors in March 2016 to prepare for the move. Just a half a mile away, the 4,017-square-foot Atlanta History Center location featuring an outdoor dining patio will open that April.

I come to Atlanta every four months or so and was so surprised to find the old place empty. It was always a destination for me for over ten years. I loved the cozy atmosphere there. For me it will be hard to replace.
