Plus Phipps Plaza To Get Philipp Plein, Tommy Bahama relocating.
Plans this week were filed for a Ted Baker store at Buckhead’s Lenox Square Mall. The British luxury clothing retailer will open on the main level next to Vineyard Vines.
An estimated $505,000 will be spent building out the 3,000-square-foot space, the first dedicated Ted Baker storefront in Atlanta, according to a Lenox spokesperson.
Presently, Ted Baker can be found at several Buckhead department stores including Bloomingdales and Nordstrom.
Across the street at Phipps Plaza, Lenox’s sister property, first-to-market Philipp Plein is slated to open in September, and Tommy Bahama is planning a relocation.
Philipp Plein, the Italian retailer of women, men and kids collections, and handbags and shoes, will be situated in the mall near Saks Fifth Avenue in a 1,989 square foot space.
Tommy Bahama will relocate late-summer to the main level near Nordstrom in a new 3,500 square foot store.
What does one have to do to a 3,000 square foot space that costs $500K. I guess I’m much more residential minded since $500K buys you a pretty decent 3,000 square foot house (assuming you’re not in Buckhead, VaHi, etc…). Guess those fixtures cost more than one would think!
