A multi-use play space for kids is expanding with a second location.

After more than five years in Buckhead, OODAZU is coming to Chamblee.

OODAZU serves as a destination for children’s birthday parties and offers drop-in play, memberships and seasonal camps with special activities during summer and school breaks. The space features obstacle courses, climbing walls, slides and more, as well as organized activities like crafts and yoga.

Owner and CEO Clair Flores hopes OODAZU can be a go-to place for families that both children and parents can be excited about.

“We want to be able to help people and be a resource for the community for someone to send their kids and keep them active, playing, entertained and engaged,” Flores told What Now Atlanta.

Finding the perfect place for their next location took about a year. On the wishlist: tall ceilings and open space to accommodate all that OODAZU has to offer. Areas with young families are ideal, and Chamblee fit the bill.

“I never wanted to just be one location,” Flores said. “We’re constantly told, ‘We wish we had something like this in our area,’ so we’re trying to cover that.”

In addition to offering drop-in play and camps, OODAZU aims to make birthday parties convenient and enjoyable, offering full-service party hosting.

“We take care of everything for you,” Flores said. “We serve everything, we set everything up. We want it to be where someone can walk in and they don’t have to worry about their party.”

Premium party supplies, gifts, helium balloons, decorations and more are also available through OODAZU’s retail section and online boutique. With stores like Party City closing, OODAZU aims to be a go-to spot for balloon needs, offering pre-order and delivery services for extra convenience.

The Chamblee location is slated to begin construction soon.

“We’re excited to be in Chamblee and to dive in and be a part of the community,” Flores said. “There are so many cool local spots in that area. We’re excited to be part of that growth.”
