According to a company announcement, the Pacific Northwest-born coffee chain Black Rock Coffee plans to open at 1060 Hero Way, in Leander, and 250 N. A.W. Grimes Blvd., in Round Rock, alongside new locations in Killeen and Providence Village.
Grand opening timelines for each location have not been specified beyond a fall 2026 window, with the brand noting that promotions may vary by shop.
Black Rock Coffee Bar was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2008 and has built its reputation around high-quality espresso drinks, cold brews, smoothies, and energy drinks; all served through a drive-thru-first model designed for speed without sacrificing quality.
The brand currently operates locations across more than a dozen states, with Texas emerging as one of its most active expansion markets.
The Leander location on Hero Way places Black Rock within the city’s rapidly growing retail corridor, just minutes from the Northline ATX development that has become one of the metro’s most anticipated mixed-use destinations.
The Round Rock location on A.W. Grimes Boulevard adds to a growing cluster of coffee concepts serving the city’s dense residential and commuter base along the SH 45 corridor.
The Texas openings are part of a broader fall push that includes 16 new Black Rock spots across Arizona, California, Colorado, and Texas between September and November, according to the brand. What Now San Diego recently covered Black Rock’s upcoming location on Palm Avenue.
