According to Eater, Houston-based all-day restaurant mini-chain Dish Society will be opening its second Austin location starting sometime in early 2025.

Located at 1600 South First Street, Suite 110, the restaurant will be taking over the space of the former Picnik.

“Dish Society’s parent company Five 12 Restaurant Concepts, run by founder and CEO Aaron Lyons (who is from Austin), opened the first Austin location of its all-day mini-chain cafe in the Mueller neighborhood in December 2023. This South First location will be similar to its others — serving general American and Texan brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Expect items like pancakes, breakfast plates, eggy dishes, toasts, tacos, chicken and biscuits, sandwiches, salads, sweet potatoes with brisket, and much more. Then there are drinks like coffee, beers, wines, and cocktails,” Eater reports.

There will be an indoor dining room, indoor bar, semi-covered patio, and a walk-up window for takeout orders, the publication adds.
