A chocolate experience that combines a tradition of handcrafted chocolate with guest-oriented service is expanding to Cedar Park. According to public filings, Kilwins plans to open a new location at 901 Arrow Point Drive, Building A, Suite 102.
Kilwins is known for its handmade fudge, chocolates, and ice cream, made using traditional copper-kettle cooking methods at many of its locations.
Tapan Patel, president of franchisee Parina, Inc., told What Now Austin he is aiming for a March or April 2027 opening.
“We’re excited to get the doors open and meet everyone. We’ll share an official date as we get closer,” he said.
The Arrow Point address, along 1431, stood out as an accessible, everyday stop for the community. “We felt Cedar Park would be a great spot for people to stop in with the kids, grab dessert after dinner, or pick up a gift. We’d love to become one of those neighborhood places people look forward to visiting,” Patel said.
The decision to expand Kilwins came down to the kind of business Patel wanted to run and the type of business Kilwins is.
“I really enjoy meeting people and building relationships through my businesses, and Kilwins felt like a great fit,” he said. “A business that involves chocolate and ice cream is a pretty easy one to get excited about.”
According to Patel, customer experience will be central to how the Cedar Park shop is run. “I want this to be a place where people feel welcome and enjoy coming back, not just for the treats, but because they had a memorable experience. Taking care of customers has always been the most important part of running a business for me,” he told What Now Austin.
Once the store opens, Patel hopes the chocolaterie will become an active part of the community’s everyday life, whether guests are celebrating a special occasion or not.
“Whether you’re celebrating something special or just need an ice cream break, we hope you’ll stop by and say hello,” he said. “You don’t need a special occasion to treat yourself!”
