The locally-owned and operated Middle Eatern restaurant Lazeez Mediterranean will soon be opening its second location, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located in northeast Austin at 9215 West Parmer Ln, near Papa John’s and Cuppa Austin Coffee Shop.
The original Lazeez, located at 6812 N FM 620, serves a variety of Mediterranean starters such as falafel, dolma, kibbeh, and lebaneh, among others. The restaurant’s main courses are grilled mashawi BBQ such as kofta kebab and grilled lamb, served with hummus, eggplant dip, tabbouleh, or house salad, along with shawarma plates, vegetarian plates, and wraps.
Describing themselves on the official website, Lazeez states “At Lazeez we pride ourselves in our fresh, delicious food. A beautiful blend of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors, located in North Austin, Texas. With dishes such as kebabs, chicken and gyro, as well as multiple vegetarian options, you simply cannot go wrong. Lazeez is one of the newest small businesses in Austin, that brings delicious and bold flavors.”
What Now Austin reached out to owner Ghenwa Mughrabi to inquire about potential opening dates and other pertinent information about the upcoming Parmer Ln location, but she was not immediately available for comment.
However, what can be known, according to public records, is that the remodeling of the existing space is slated to begin in February 2023 with an estimated completion in mid-July. The estimated cost for this process is estimated to be around $300,000.
