America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses is expanding its Central Texas footprint with a new location in Leander. According to public filings, the optical retail chain plans to open at 408 E. San Gabriel Pkwy., within the Northline Retail development.
Permitting records list construction as scheduled to be completed by March 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive. America’s Best currently operates 11 locations in Austin, according to its website.
America’s Best is known for its accessible pricing model. In-store customers can browse frames, contact lenses, and prescription sunglasses across a range of styles, with on-site optometrists available for comprehensive eye exams.
The optical retailer currently operates more than 900 locations nationwide and has been expanding in the Lone Star State. What Now Austin has previously covered America’s Best’s Texas expansion, including a new location planned for Copperas Cove and What Now Dallas reported on a new Prosper location, both targeted for late 2026.
