A Texas-born hot chicken concept appears to be on the move in Austin. Tumble 22 has quietly listed two new Austin locations on its website: one in the Arboretum area and one on South Lamar, signaling what could be a significant expansion for the brand within its home market.
Tumble 22 is a Texas-born restaurant concept specializing in Nashville-style hot chicken. Its menu includes chicken sandwiches, bone-in chicken, tenders, salads, family packs, sides, housemade pies, beer, and specialty drinks.
The restaurant uses Texas-raised chicken and offers different heat levels across its menu. What Now Austin reached out to Tumble 22’s representatives to inquire about the opening timeline, but did not receive a response prior to press time.
The Arboretum restaurant is located at 9761 Great Hills Trail, Suite B, while the South Lamar location is at 2929 S. Lamar Blvd. The company currently lists locations in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, San Marcos, Pflugerville, and Houston.
The latest locations come as the brand continues to expand. What Now Austin previously reported in 2023 that Tumble 22 had changed ownership and was looking to expand its footprint. What Now Austin also reported on Tumble 22’s planned Pflugerville location at 18725 FM 685, Suite 100.
