A Cape Cod staple is heading inland.

Mashpee-based Cape Cod Coffee is preparing to open its sixth location at 770 Water St in Framingham‘s Nobscot Village, according to a report from Framingham District 2 (via Boston Restaurant Talk). Leasing materials from Blackline Retail Group indicate that the café will take over a ground-floor space alongside an upcoming Monmouth Trading Cards location and near the recently opened Brass Tap.

The article mentions that the Framingham building inspector recently confirmed the expansion, noting that Cape Cod Coffee has pulled a building permit for the site. While the brand currently operates several locations down the Cape, this will be its first café in the Greater Boston area.

Founded in 1970, Cape Coffee has built its reputation on small-batch roasting and a commitment to responsibly sourced beans. The company partners with growers in 12 countries, offering blends that are both Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance-certified, with an emphasis on pesticide-free cultivation.

At the new Framingham café, guests can expect a full lineup of coffeehouse classics, including lattes, cappuccinos, chai tea, and smoothies. Each location offers a slightly different food menu, ranging from pastries, light bites, and salads to heartier fare like sandwiches, wraps, burgers, wings, and pizzas.

If all goes according to plan, Cape Cod Coffee will welcome its first Framingham customers in late summer 2026, with an opening currently slated for August.

Looking ahead, CEO Jan Aggerbeck told What Now Boston that the company is “opening several new locations off Cape this year,” with additional details expected in May.
