A long-anticipated steakhouse is finally nearing the finish line in downtown Haverhill.
After nearly two years in the works, The Reserve Steakhouse is gearing up to debut at 77 Washington St, taking over the former home of The Barking Dog. This week, ownership announced that they are actively hiring for all positions as the opening draws closer.
“We’re growing our team as we expand our event experiences and prepare for the opening of The Reserve Steakhouse,” wrote the business on social media. “If you take pride in great service and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, we’d love to meet you.”
The forthcoming restaurant will occupy the first and second floors of the building, anchoring a multi-level hospitality concept already taking shape. Upstairs on the third floor, Vault 77 Lounge—launched by the same team last summer—will continue serving modern craft cocktails alongside tapas-style bites.
Meanwhile, the fourth floor houses The Exchange Events, a sleek venue designed for private gatherings ranging from baby showers to corporate events.
In September 2024, The Reserve Steakhouse secured unanimous approval from the Haverhill License Commission for its liquor, food, and entertainment licenses, according to an earlier report from WHAV. While a full menu has not yet been released, owner Sharbel Azzi has previously indicated that guests can expect a mix of upscale seafood and classic steakhouse staples.
If all goes according to plan, The Reserve Steakhouse will welcome its first guests in June 2026, with hours expected to run daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
