A popular boutique fitness franchise is planning to open four new studios across Greater Boston over the next several months.
Club Pilates will launch new studios at 241 Old Colony Avenue, Suite 103 in South Boston, with an opening targeted for November 2026; 96 Tower Road in Waltham, expected to open in December 2026; 334 Broadway, Unit D500 in Saugus, slated for the first quarter of 2027; and 174 Littleton Road in Westford, also expected to open during Q1 2027.
All four upcoming locations are being franchised by Spartan Fitness Holdings, the world’s largest Club Pilates operator. The company currently operates more than 170 Club Pilates studios across 16 states, including 10 locations in Massachusetts alone.
Founded in San Diego in 2007, Club Pilates is the largest Pilates brand and studio network in the world, operating more than 1,300 studios across four continents. The franchise has built its following around low-impact, full-body workouts designed to challenge both the body and mind.
The studio’s classes are rooted in Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, while incorporating modern group instruction and a range of specialized equipment. The approach brings the principles of traditional Pilates into a contemporary studio setting, making the practice accessible to a wide range of bodies and fitness levels.
Classes are divided into four levels, allowing members to build their practice at their own pace. Level 1: Foundation is geared toward beginners, introducing the fundamentals of Pilates in a safe and approachable setting. Level 1.5: Progression builds on those basics with more complex movements, greater equipment use, and increasingly dynamic exercises.
Level 2: Evolution introduces faster-paced classes, quicker transitions, and more advanced exercises designed to test both strength and coordination. Finally, Level 2.5: Mastery is the most advanced level, focusing on precision, coordination, form, and alignment for members who have already developed a strong Pilates foundation.
For locals eager to get moving, founding memberships are already available for the upcoming South Boston studio. Current founding rates include Membership 2, which provides eight classes per month for $183, and Membership 3, which offers unlimited monthly classes at the studio for $231.
The South Boston studio is also hosting a Club Pilates Mat class on September 19 at 10 a.m. Those interested can RSVP by September 17 for a chance to meet the studio team, learn more about membership options, and connect with the South Boston community ahead of the studio’s opening.
