According to the community’s website, a local New York-style deli chain is expanding to Nexton, marking its twelfth location in the state.

East Bay Deli will soon serve up its signature sandwiches in the burgeoning Nexton community near downtown Summerville. Currently, the eatery has fast-casual restaurants scattered throughout the Lowcountry, as well as sites in Columbia, Irmo, and Cayce.

Founded in 2001, East Bay Deli is known for its classic deli sandwiches, such as the Hot NY Style Pastrami and the BLT. Additionally, the eatery offers wraps, salads, soups, and a variety of sides, including cole slaw and pasta salad. The menu also features deli dogs, giant spuds, sweet treats, and options from a kid’s menu.

Owner Daniel Jaicks did not immediately respond to What Now Chaleston’s request for comment, so the exact address of the forthcoming restaurant is still unknown. Stay tuned for further updates as more information becomes available.
