Located at 201 Fantasy Harbor Blvd. in Myrtle Beach, The Landing at the Boathouse is a longstanding favorite for “delicious food, in-house craft brew, extraordinary live music, and pure fun.” Next year, the Boathouse is expanding to a second location in Murrells Inlet, where it will open at 4139 US-17 BUS.

“We’re still working through the menu,” co-owner Misty Pate told What Now on Friday. “We’re going to take all the well-loved items with us, and there will be some new ones as well.”

Pate says the new location offers a lot of what has made the Boathouse’s current home great.

“It’s pretty similar to what the Boathouse looks like already,” Pate said. “We cater to everybody, all ages, and we want to create the same vibe. We think it’ll make a great addition. We love the area; the community is so nice and welcoming.”

The menu at the Boathouse includes Boathouse Favorites like Crispy Fried Shrimp, Fish and Chips, and Fried Oysters, along with Handhelds like the Duck BLT (Seasoned duck breast with hickory smoked bacon, lettuce, pickled tomato and mayo on grilled Hawaiian bread) and the Shrimp Po’Boy.

The Highway 17 Business location was previously home to the Inlet Shipwreck, which closed a year after opening. Pate believes the Boathouse is the right fit for a property that has had some trouble finding its place.

“I think people will start to see work happening over the next few months,” said Pate. “We’re really excited. This place has swapped hands a lot, and we are determined to make it happen.”
