A Mexican restaurant has recently secured a lease in Summerville’s latest commercial development.

A Villalpando Enterprises representative recently confirmed that the company has signed a lease on a Marketplace at Nexton suite. The new eatery will join a variety of tenants, including Dunkin’, sweetFrog, Subway, and others.

Although the exact name and address of the restaurant have not yet been disclosed, the development is located at the intersection of Nexton Parkway and Cross Park Lane.

The eatery is expected to offer traditional Mexican cuisine, featuring classic dishes like tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas.

An official opening date for the new concept has not yet been announced, but Marketplace at Nexton is anticipated to launch in late 2025.

UPDATE: What Now Charleston was originally told that local restaurant El Patrón Junior would be the Mexican concept at Marketplace at Nexton. However, it has since been clarified that this will be an entirely new concept by Villalpando Enterprises. This article has been updated to reflect these changes.
