With a network of sub shops that has reached nearly 3,400 locations, Jersey Mike’s Subs is one of the major sandwich brands in the United States.
The franchise has been in the news last month when it launched an IPO that brought shares to market at $23 each, landing Jersey Mike’s among the largest-ever initial fundraisers: it sold 43.5 million shares and raised about $1 billion.
Despite the big things happening at the national level, a restaurant franchise’s development is always something that proceeds locally, Jersey Mike’s is no different. News broke this week, in the Post and Courier, that local franchisee Ryan Delman is preparing to launch his 13th Jersey Mike’s location in the Charleston area.
Delman’s next sandwich shop will open at 1640 Remount Road in North Charleston on September 9.
“The upcoming North Charleston restaurant will occupy 1,500 square feet in a newly built, 4,000-square-foot commercial property that Delman will share with other to-be-named tenants,” the Post and Courier coverage said. “Delman has been franchising Jersey Mike’s shops for 29 years and said he loves the brand, ‘the quality, the product and good customer service.’”
“Lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and spices still top amazing authentic sandwiches across the nation, carrying on the namesake who created the store over 65 years ago,” says the Jersey Mike’s website. “Our secret to longevity has been making sure that everything is always high quality. Our meats and cheeses are all top-quality premium brands. Our bread is fresh-baked each day on the premises. And of course, everything’s prepared right in front of you. It’s what makes Jersey Mike’s the most authentic tasting submarine sandwich.”
