A Myrtle Beach-based chicken restaurant that originally debuted in 2020 will soon open a second location in Conway.

On July 8, 2024, Kluck It owner Melissa Cooper-Garcia announced on social media that her restaurant is “officially coming to Conway.” Cooper-Garcia confirmed this development with What Now Charleston but is not ready to release the exact address due to pending building inspections.

The Conway native—who not only owns Kluck It but also serves as the chef, answers phones, and makes deliveries—told The Sun News that the decision to expand into Conway was influenced by the restaurant’s popularity among customers from Coastal Carolina University, Aynor, and Bucksport. The new location will provide a closer option for these patrons.

Kluck It offers a distinctive dining experience themed around Cooper-Garcia’s late dog, Bear, serving many of its dishes out of dog bowls. True to its name, the menu features a variety of chicken-centric fare, including fingers, wings, and an array of Philly subs, as well as salads, burgers, classic sides, and desserts. Kluck It also features “puppy meals,” Cooper-Garcia’s playful twist on kids’ meals.

Due to its small size, the upcoming Conway location will not offer dine-in service and will focus exclusively on takeout and delivery. Cooper-Garcia hopes to open the new Kluck It next month, in the second week of August 2024.
