According to a recent post from Chicago Food Chat, Bella Via is moving to 431 Temple Avenue in Highland Park.

A representative of Bella Via was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

According to Bella Via’s website, “Bella Via Restaurant is thrilled to announce our new location at 431 Temple Ave. in Highland Park. We are very excited to remain a part of the community and to continue to serve the North Shore. We look forward to sharing Bella Via with you soon!”

“We’ve been serving the communities of the North Shore for 20 years. Over that time we have expanded and grown to become one of the premier locations for dining and private events. Featuring cuisine and wine from various regions of Italy and Sicily.”

“An old-world Italian restaurant with modern accents where each dish is prepared to order with consistency and the finest quality. You might call Bella Via, “The Neighborhood Spot”.

“Growing up in Altavilla Sicily, executive chef Maurizio LoBosco was surrounded by family and friends where the gathering always took place in the kitchen. “For Italians, cooking and dining is a social event,” says Maurizio.”

“It’s a true Italian dining experience with a menu offering a variety of dishes, an extensive wine list, and craft cocktails. Dishes like Veal Saltimbocca, Rolled Stuffed Eggplant and Braised Beef Short Rib Ravioli are household staples. With al fresco dining on a private garden patio in the summer, to private event rooms with accommodations for 20 to 200 guests.”

An article from The Record North Shore states, “The 26-year-old Italian restaurant is closing amid challenging times, according to General Manager Carmela LaValle. Chef Maurizio Lobosco opened Bella Via and remains the restaurant’s owner.”
