Coffees may be brewed at a space downtown in the near future.

A new concept called Andis Cafe is in the works for 1 N Franklin Street, per a recent liquor license application. This is at the tower which also houses the PNC Centre office space. Right now, owner Joshua Fossitt does not have an opening date.

Fossit is the owner of We’re Here Hospitality, a new hospitality concept in the area. He has over 25 years of restaurant experience in and around Chicago, and also co-founded Hospitality 201. This is a boutique catering company run by local restaurateurs.

The building is at the intersection of W Madison Street, right across from the La Quinta Inn & Suites downtown. Other restaurant concepts nearby include Kinsley, Aloha Poke Co. and Franklin On 2. From the application, the cafe is coming to the first floor.

The full name of the new concept in the application is “Andis: Cafe and Luncheonette” suggesting food additions will be served as well. No website or social media have been set up for the concept yet, but more information on Andis will be released in the coming weeks.
