A building near the W Peterson-N Lincoln avenues intersection may serve food and drinks again soon.
Owners of a concept under the name 6112 Hospitality recently submitted a liquor license application for 6112 N Lincoln Avenue. Not much is known about the new restaurant, but multiple hospitality professionals are behind it including local chef Tyler Nickson. An opening date is still being evaluated.
Nickson has been involved in local restaurants such as Three House and Marlowe. He is known for creating vegetarian dishes, as well as a brisket and bone marrow smash burger. Sebastien Simon, a local private chef, is also attached to the project.
Not much is known about the new spot, but it will be occupying both floors of the former Evita Steakhouse space. The steakhouse was at the location for years, and the owners moved to a new address on McCormick Boulevard before closing not long after the move.
The concept is coming to the south end of N Lincoln Avenue, across from the Lincoln Village shopping area. This is near a string of restaurants on this side of the road including Bangkok Thai Cuisine, Hoanh Long Vietnamese & Chinese and a Wingstop. A Panera Bread is across the street.
What Now Chicago has reached out to the restaurant team and is awaiting comment.
